The Janae and Michael Penny Drive
We are collecting pennies for a project we are working on, and we want as many people involved as possible. That is why for every penny you bring us we will donate two cents to a nonprofit you choose. You pick the cause. We write the check. So bring us your pennies and share this far and wide.
We have something specific in mind for these pennies. We have been working on it quietly for a while and we will tell you the whole story here before we take it public. What we can say now is that it takes a lot of pennies to pull off, and yours would genuinely help us get there.
Our goal is $150 worth of pennies. That is 15,000 of them. We would love nothing more than to blow right past it.
How it works
- Round up your pennies. The coffee can, the console tray, the jar in the back of the closet
- Tell us below how you would like to meet. If you are anywhere near Boise, we are happy to come to you
- Name a nonprofit you care about. We double every penny you brought and send it their way
Questions people have asked us
I only have a few pennies. Do you still want them?
Yes, absolutely. A few pennies is a few pennies more than we had. Bring them all.
Can you tell me what you are doing with the pennies?
We would love to tell you. We just are not announcing it publicly yet. If you are contributing, reach out and we will happily share what we are working on. We want the people helping us to know.
Will I be able to see the final result?
Yes. Depending on how long it takes, we might even be able to show you along the way. Once we are done we will be happy to show you directly.
Would you partner with a nonprofit to do a penny drive with their members?
Yes! We would love that. Text or call Michael and introduce us to the coordinator at the nonprofit, and we will get it going.
