Caboose on Whitewater · 2 Queen Beds · Custom Shower · Dual Cast Iron Hot Tubs
Opening October 2026. The Boise Jewell is not taking stays quite yet, but we are taking requests now. Send us your dates and what you have in mind.
Planning an event? We can show you the place first, on a video call or in person. Just ask in your inquiry.
The Boise Jewell is a fully restored 1962 Union Pacific red caboose set on 40 feet of original railroad track in Boise's West End. It is a stay of its own: you book the caboose, and the caboose is what you get.
Inside. Two queen beds. The main bed in the car, and a raised bed at the top of the stairs in the cupola, where the windows go all the way around. A small parlor sitting area, and a bathroom with a custom shower.
Outside. Relax and soak in our dual cast iron hot tubs.
Events, too. Most people come for a night or two, but the parcel holds a gathering. Capacity for events up to 60 standing or 30 sitting. Filming and photo shoots welcome. External catering allowed. Music and PA system available. Bring your own DJ.
The name. Janae's Great Grandpa Jewell worked the railroads and brought his family to Jerome, Idaho. The Boise Jewell is an ode to him.
Most people book The Boise Jewell for a night or two. It also hosts weddings and elopements, film and photo productions, parties, branded events and creative shoots. Tell us what you have in mind and we will work with you on the details.
